ABB Ability™ System 800xA High Integrity
Plant safety fully integrated with ABB Ability System 800xA.
The ABB Ability System 800xA High Integrity safety system is TUV certified for SIL3 and was designed with a flexible architecture, in a single configuration. It can be fully integrated with ABB Ability System 800xA, installed on a separate network from 800xA. process control and safety can be combined in the same controller and it can be installed independently and interfaced with any other DCS or HMI.

S700 remote or direct I/O
S700 I/O can be used as direct I/O for AC 700F and AC 900F Freelance controllers or as PROFIBUS remote I/O with AC 700F, AC 800F, AC 900F or other PROFIBUS Masters. S700 I/O has a small footprint – the modules are featured with a high packing density, several modules are available with inputs and outputs mixed in one module. These modules are covering a wide variety of applications and giving maximum flexibility. 14 different module types are currently available.

Freelance Distributed Control System (DCS)
Freelance is a full-fledged distributed control system that combines the advantages of DCS and PLC: the small footprint of a PLC, together with the full functionality of a DCS. The integrated environment simplifies engineering, commissioning, maintenance and fieldbus management. The intuitive operator interface enables easy operation and diagnosis of the entire system. Freelance is proven since 20 years and fully compatible with older versions.

S800 I/O
S800 I/O is a comprehensive, distributed and modular process I/O system that communicates with parent controllers over industry-standard field buses. Thanks to its broad connectivity it fits a wide range of process controllers from ABB and others.
By permitting installation in the field, close to sensors and actuators, S800 I/O reduces the installation cost by reducing the cost of cabling. And thanks to features such as hot swap of modules, on-line reconfiguration and redundancy options, it contributes to keeping production — and thereby profits up.

S900  I/O for Hazardous Areas
S900 provides all input and output modules needed for intrinsically safe field signal connection. The field signals are amplified in every S900 functional module, electrically isolated, and then output via an internal serial bus. A communication interface converts the digitized signals to adapt them to the standardized PROFIBUS DPV1 fieldbus protocol. Supervisory process control systems, DCS or SCADA systems use an intrinsically safe fieldbus to communicate with the communication interface.the I/O system S900 is the best, cost-saving solution for use on site, in hazardous Zone 1 or Zone 2
